Statement

My work in fine art draws on my family history and my rich textile heritage, transforming books into glass, family linen into indigo hangings and my family hand mirror into bronze sculptures. Photography, printmaking, collage and painting are other mediums I use in my practice. Colour is essential to me as seen in my recent “paisley shawl” paintings and life drawing underpins all my work. I have been a member of the N20G since 1996 and was Chairman in 2001/2002. Exhibited twice yearly with the group from 1996-2009.
