Artist Statement

David's work covers a wide field and includes sculpture, carving and lettering in stone, slate, wood, metal and plastics. He also sign-writes and paints and gilds some of his work. He works almost entirely to commission, the work hopefully reflecting the journey of the spirit. A Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen, Founder member of Letter Exchange, Founder Member and some time Chairman of Norwich Contemporary Craft Society, Long standing member of Suffolk Craft Society, and member and some time Chairman of Norwich Twenty Group. David's work has been exhibited widely and is held in private collections in Europe, South Africa, Turkey, Canada and America. Visiting lecturer at University College Suffolk and Norwich University College of the Arts over seventeen years and has also taught at all levels of education.
