Artist Statement

Polly Cruse explores the temporary relief felt when distracted from the banality of every day living.She constructs and places everyday objects, photographing these to capture moments of dreamt freedom.Her images make reference to child hood fiction and fantasies, using humour to engage with the viewer.Presenting her images in poster format is a recent departure for her work.
