Artist Statement

Born in Middlesex; childhood and early adulthood spent in Hertfordshire.
Fulltime student at Watford School of Art with emphasis on the Graphic Arts, Watford was a foremost printing town.
Became a commercial artist, both freelance and with a well known perfume company.
Further studies at Wall Hall and part time at St. Albans Art School studying Fine Art.
Taught in secondary and adult education for 23 years in Buckinghamshire and Norfolk where I have lived for over 39 years. Spent a year in Czech Republic and Slovakia where I taught English and Art.
I am now concentrating on my own work which has led to exhibitions in Britain, France, Serbia and Switzerland. Work is in private collections in Britain, France, Czech Republic, Denmark and Switzerland.
I have undertaken commissions and held master classes and I am a member of The Twenty Group, Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle and Norfolk Contemporary Arts Society.
