After graduating from Norwich School of Art, Maz Jackson has been a practicing artist for 40 years, has won national and international awards and exhibits in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums worldwide. She has a deep interest in traditions of practice and enjoys translating images from her library of sketchbooks into egg tempera paintings and prints.

Maz has been a Short Course Tutor at the Edward James Foundation, West Dean for several years, giving residential courses twice a year. She also gives workshops and talks to schools, colleges and art societies as well as being a mentor for the Arts Council and adviser/practitioner for the BBC.

“Images are sourced from anything that excites. I wish my work to have a timeless quality which the onlooker can dip into with ever-changing thoughts, questions and smiles.”
